This history of Worcesters''s Inc. began back in 1926 when John and Ester Worcester were married and her mother gave them a speckled hen and her 18 baby checks as a wedding present. After a couple of years they decided to ho into the hatching business and the origional Worcester's Hatchery was built behind their house on Chestnut Ridge Road

They continued in business at that location until a very bad fire occurred in 1942. Rather than try to rebuild at that location, they purchased the present property which was for sale at the time. the origional building proved to be too small and additions have been added through the years
John Worcester Became the first Bolens Equipment Dealer in 1950. Shortly after that the ariens, McColloch and Homelite Lines were added. In the late 1950's Stihl, Toro, and Lawnboy joined the lineup and the parts department expanded.

Worcesters is a family-owned business. Tom Worcester is President of the Corporation and general Manager of the feed and garden department. Alan Worcester is Vise-President and general manager of the power equipment department.
